Customer Service

The Panama City Fire Department provides fire protection service to an area of approximately thirty square miles. The Department maintains an average response time of less than four minutes to emergency fire calls.

The City of Panama City provides water, wastewater and garbage services to residences and businesses in the community. If you wish to start, stop or transfer service, or have questions about your city utility services regarding meter readings, billings or payments, we invite you to visit with a customer service representative at the Utility Billing Office located at 9 Harrison Avenue in the City Hall building. Or, if you prefer, call us during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our telephone number is 850-872-3166.

Stopping and Transferring Service

You can stop or transfer utility services by telephone in just a few minutes by calling a City customer service representative. Customer Service office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For walk-in service, you can visit the Utility Billing Office located at 9 Harrison Avenue in the City Hall building.

We recommend that customers notify Customer Service 24 hours in advance of any service needed. If you are moving, it is important that you give us a forwarding address for your final bill or deposit refund. For further information, please call 850-872-3166.
